私たち時計師は両手を使って仕事をする

ある人は時計を外し、机の上に置く

私は左手を補う為に右手に時計を着ける

そして私は左利きの人の為に時計を製作する

東海高校卒業後、Campus des métiers et de l'artisanatにて時計を学ぶ。フランスの時計店Horlogerie Lambertで時計修理の修行をする。KIKUCHI NAKAGAWAの菊池氏や、スイスの関口氏にアドバイスを受けながら、スイスへの道を模索したが、Covid-19の大流行で断念し帰国。当初の目的であった腕時計ブランドを創業。

RIMITE is the world's first left-handed watch brand

We, watchmakers, work with both hands

Some would take off their watches and put them on the desk

I wear my watch on my right hand to support my left

And I make watches for left-handed people

PROFILE

KOTARO  Founder/watchmaker 

Studied watchmaking at Campus des métiers et de l'artisanat. Trained as a watch repairer at Horlogerie Lambert, a French watch shop. Sought to work in Switzerland under the advice of Yusuke Kikuchi from KIKUCHI NAKAGAWA and Yosuke Sekiguchi, an independent watchmaker in Switzerland, but ceased after the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. KOTARO returned to Japan and founded the watch brand "RIMITE," which was his initial objective.
